In Term 4, 2025, Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre (TNC) coordinated and supported the delivery of emotional wellbeing and early-intervention programs for local children and young people across the Port Stephens community. Through funding secured from the NSW Premier’s Department, TNC partnered with Well Education to deliver school-based programs at Soldiers Point Public School and Anna Bay Public School. The programs created safe and supportive spaces for students to build confidence, learn about emotions, and strengthen positive relationships — both online and in everyday life.

Across the term, 30 children participated in the programs and showed strong growth in key social and emotional learning areas. Results indicated:Up to 100% growth in self-awareness
Up to 89% growth in emotional self-management
Increased confidence, empathy, and relationship skills
Students particularly benefited from learning practical tools to name feelings, regulate emotions, and build self-belief.
I am enough and I am loved.”
"I am my biggest cheerleader."
“I have learned how to control my reactions and be more confident.”
Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre is proud to support early-intervention programs that nurture wellbeing, connection, and resilience, helping young people feel safe, supported, and confident as they grow.
This project was delivered by Well Education with the support of Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre and funded by the NSW Premier’s Department.
