Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre is pleased to announce the launch of Mindful Me, a new wellbeing program for children aged 6–11 years commencing in Term 2.

This free 8-week program has been designed to support children’s emotional, social and physical wellbeing in a calm, supportive and engaging environment.
Facilitated by Melanie Howlett from Mel’s Yoga, sessions include gentle yoga therapy exercises, mindfulness, music and movement. The program supports children to build confidence, emotional regulation and resilience, while also improving focus, relaxation and social connection.
Yoga, mindfulness, music and movement to build confidence, resilience and emotional well-being.
Children will be supported to develop coordination, balance, flexibility, concentration and self-awareness, while learning practical strategies they can use at home in everyday life. Participants also receive take-home worksheets to help continue mindfulness and wellbeing practices beyond the sessions.
